Discover how Helix can help you

As an industry leader, we quickly and effectively respond to all traffic control service needs, expectations and project requirements. We provide a full suite of traffic management services aimed at providing solutions for projects of any size. While every work zone solution is unique, Helix services generally fall under the following key categories:

Equipment Installation

We specialize in designing, manufacturing and installing temporary and permanent signage. We also install traffic control devices, such as portable barrier rails, aimed at maintaining a safe roadway during maintenance, construction, and utility work. We are committed to helping our clients achieve their project goals by offering variety and flexibility in our installation services.

Traffic Control

Quality traffic control extends beyond directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic within a work zone. We keep an eye on the big picture to prioritize total work zone safety. We have fine-tuned our methods to ensure minimal delays and maximum protection from the hazards of a worksite.

Flagging

Our certified flaggers are experienced in maintaining a safe and effective flow of people and vehicles throughout a work site. From workers on a job site to pedestrians passing through, they’re equipped to handle any situation. Their training has prepared them to handle large infrastructure projects, like heavy highway sites, to smaller workzones like state and city road closures. Creating safety in a work-zone is their top priority.

Traffic Solutions (TSL) was founded by an industry professional who grew up in a family-run traffic supply company. When her family faced hard times, they were forced to sell the business to a competitor. Many years later, after non-competes expired, the family business started up again as Traffic Solutions

Work Zone Traffic Control began as a nameless operation out of the Founder’s father’s garage. After landing a large construction project, John Volk III knew the business needed a name and additional resources. And so, Work Zone Traffic Control was born and Rich Robison, John’s former colleague, joined the business.

Traffic Safety Supplies, founded by Steve and Michelle Payne, began as a highway sign manufacturing company out of a small room. As demand and customers increased, they branched out and began offering a wider variety of products. In 2005 the business was officially incorporated and moved into its own standalone facility. What began as a two person operation, now has around 20 employees.

Highway Specialties was started by Karl and Kim Thatcher to meet a growing traffic control need. Kim had owned and operated KT Contracting and Karl grew up around the construction industry, following in the footsteps of his father, who owned and operated a large construction company. Highway Specialties started in their basement, as a two-person operation, and has since expanded to four locations with over 30 employees.
